A. Have you found your passion in life? Are you living your dream? Have you attained the early career success you desire? Are you able to attain peak mental and physical performance? If you answered "No" to any of these questions, then coaching can help you.
A. Probably not. Most television representations of coaching are often over-emphasized, over-simplified or over-dramatized in order to create an entertaining experience. Real coaches are experienced practitioners who conduct themselves with the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
A. We don't believe so. Our philosophy on coaching is that a trained coach will provide insight that you would not get from a mentor or someone in your field of business. Most of us place limits on ourselves and a coach can help see clearly the obstacles in your way.
A. Look at our What's Coaching section to learn about the differences between coaching and advising or mentoring. As much as we would like to think that we can get truly impartial coaching from our friends, remember that they have a vested interest in keeping us the way we are. After all, if we change significantly, then our relationship with them might change significantly, too.
A. This is a very valid question. Coaches are a fragmented group of professionals and the nature of the coaching industry means that it can be very difficult for you to find a coach on your own and be confident in their quality. 24hourcoach takes away the uncertainty around the quality of the coach. Membership in our Coach Registry has to be approved. We screen all coaches for credentials, experience and suitability before accepting them into our network.
A. The coaching process often makes us look at ourselves in ways that we are not accustomed to. It asks us questions that take us outside of our comfort zone. Its intention is to break us from the patterns and habits that have kept us from reaching our greater goals-but that's not always something we want to hear. If you feel that your coaching responses did not achieve this and you are still unhappy with your experience, please send us an email describing your situation to feedback@24hourcoach.com
A. Simple. When you pose a challenge on the website, you'll get a response usually within 24 hours and since we recruit coaches from around the world there are typically coaches signed on when you need it.
A. Coaches can apply to be a coach in the 24hourcoach network (Coaches Page). Generally speaking, if you meet our selection criteria and have some coaching experience, then you may be eligible to join our network.

A. There is really little difference in the skills or process utilized by an executive or life coach. Each operates from the premise that the client either knows or is capable of finding the answer. Typically executive coaches have either worked in an executive role or have served as consultants. This provides them with some level of empathy and appreciation for the environment and context for executives.
A. Coaching involves learning and growth. Depending on the scenario, coaches may pose more questions than answers, so that the client can fully examine their thinking and reflect on any limiting beliefs. Greater growth takes place when people examine their thinking and asking the right questions perpetuates this.
A. It is estimated by the International Coaching Federation that there are approximately 50,000 coaches worldwide. Coaches come from all walks of life. Many were successful business consultants or practicing psychologists prior to entering the coaching field.
